He was a famous warrior king of the Khmer Empire reconstruction after a period of fragmentation. Jayavarman first made a name for himself in 1165, when the news of a rebellion reached his ears. Rushing home from the Cham Kingdom, where he resided, came too late to stop the Tribhuvanadityavarman usurper king of the Khmer crown.

DAY 16: TONLE SAP LAKE AND FLIGHT TO HANOI  (Meal Inc.: Breakfast, Lunch)

To end this visit I have prepared a route by boat on the Tonle Sap Lake.
It Is the 'Great Lake' of Cambodia. During the dry season the lake can measure about 2500 square kilometers. But in the rainy season, when the mighty Mekong River abuts the force of the water flowing through Phnom Penh this causes the Tonle Sap river that adjoins the current to be reversed, the water pouring into the lake around 100 kilometers northwest enabling it to quadruple its size and in good years. As a result there is an extraordinary amount of freshwater fish, turning the lake into the most important food source in Cambodia. Nature also feeds on this in abundance; mangroves are home to over 100 species of waterfowl, along with otters, monkeys and the occasional crocodile. Visit the village Chong Khneas, which supports a community of Khmer and Vietnamese people. The village consists of houses anchored to the lake bed, a school, a police station and floating shops. I think it's something you have to see.
After completing this course, we will transfer you to the airport where you will take the flight to Hanoi. At the airport of Hanoi, we will transfer you to your hotel.
Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 17: HANOI - FLIGHT BACK HOME
